New York, NY May 2015 -- The Oliver Scholars Gala benefits the Oliver Scholars program, preparing extraordinary African American and Latino students for success at top independent high schools and prestigious colleges. In its 30th year, the gala raised over $500,000 leveraging roughly $3.5 million in financial aid. Gabriela Palmieri of Sotheby’s wowed us all with a fantastic auction, raising over $68,000 in support of the program Honoring Sheena Wright, Nina Garcia, and Tanya Wright, over 300 guests attended including Pamela Baxter, Gaetano Sciuto, and James de Givenchy.
